Residential Development, London

Buckingham Pools were delighted to be appointed by Ecoworld Ballymore Group to Design and Build bespoke pool and spa facilities for this high-end development in Canary Wharf, London.

In the heart of London, and described as a haven of peace, beauty, and tranquillity, Wardian tower’s design was inspired by explorer, botanist and inventor, Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward’s botanical glass container – the Wardian Case.

The 25m lap pool and hydro spa set the scene for this stunning urban development. The pool echoes the botanical ‘outdoors-in’ feel with a glass façade entry point directly from the interior gym complex. The grand columns over the swimming pool and the abundance of foliage add a final ‘nod’ to the inspiration of the glass terraria (Wardian Case). Buckingham Pools were pleased to use the ultimate combination of finishes to complement further the outdoor botanical impression, including natural stone pebble-sheen, Stonegres Ardesia and stone coping tiles. The pool provides the Wardian residents with the opportunity for athletic-standard swimming in a sublime natural landscape. The perfect finishing touch to this area of total relaxation is the state-of-the-art, beautifully functional spa, steam, and sauna suite.

Buckingham Pools are incredibly proud to make an iconic statement like no other at one of Ecoworld Ballymore Group’s major developments in the UK, now part of the exclusive amenities offered at the Wardian.
