Embassy Gardens Sky Pool

WORLD-FIRST, SKY POOL

Ecoworld Ballymore Group once again included Buckingham Pools in their recent, major regeneration project at Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms, London. Their vision was to create a 25m sparkling clear pool “floating” 35m up in the sky between two prominent ten-storey buildings – The Sky Pool. A collaborative project with Buckingham Pools working closely with stainless steel and acrylic pool shell designers, Reynolds Polymer Technology Inc., and Bradford Products to produce a 14-inch-thick acrylic shell with stainless steel tubs at each end to accommodate entry steps and an integrated automatic pool cover system. The result is stunning, a world-first in engineering, billed as London’s most luxurious rooftop with swimming activity, fine dining, and spectacular views of London.

Paul Walton-Collett, Managing Director at Buckingham Pools, says, “close collaboration and trusted expertise were needed to make sure the automated pool cover was truly integrated into the acrylic shell and steel tubs during construction. Lifting the shell into position was, of course, an agonising moment. We, as a company, are extremely proud of our involvement.”

Buckingham Pool’s continuous reputation for meeting the highest standards in design consultancy, construction, and delivery is reflected in professional accreditations and numerous awards won to date. Our expertise, diligence and attention to detail transform any space into a masterpiece to be enjoyed.
