Our scope related specifically to the assessment and replacement of three elevated spa installations that had experienced significant structural and operational issues. Following a detailed review, it became clear that the original spa shells were not structurally capable of supporting full water loads. Buckingham Pools was contracted to remove the existing installations, replace all three spa shells and reinstate the systems to operational condition. New shells were manufactured to the original dimensions, with additional fittings introduced to improve circulation and water quality, while working within an existing system layout.

The works required careful planning and technical coordination due to the spas being located over 18 floors above ground level. Using sectional construction and specialist lifting methods, the removal of the existing spas and installation of the new shells were carried out efficiently and safely. While finishes and much of the original system design remained in place, our scope included the commissioning of pumps, dosing, heating and electrical systems – a process made challenging by an inherited, poorly specified filtration design.

Despite these constraints, Buckingham Pools successfully stabilised the installations and brought all three spas back into operation. By resolving critical structural failures and reinstating functionality, we provided Berkeley with a reliable and safe solution within a complex environment. This project highlights our capability to step into distressed installations, take control of technically compromised systems and deliver practical, results-driven outcomes where precision and experience are essential.
